London, 11 April 2025 - The Payments Innovation Forum (PIF), the not-for-profit association promoting safe, sustainable innovation in payments, has announced the appointment of Siobhan Moore, Partner at Keystone Law as Chair and Jason Field, VP, Fintech & EMI Issuers at Mastercard as Vice Chair in accordance with the organisation’s rotating model of governance. Siobhan takes over from outgoing PIF Chair, Chris Ellis, Director of Bowsprit International, whose three-month term has come to end. Chris remains in his role as a non-executive director of PIF.

Siobhan is a commercial lawyer specialising in working with businesses that provide, receive or play a role in delivering niche payment solutions. Her role includes advising clients on strategy, new product structure, business expansion, formulating procedures, regulatory conundrums and contracts (B2B and B2C). Her focus is on the e-money and payment services sector, working with businesses operating in and outside of the e-money / payment service regulatory framework.

Jason is a Vice President in the Fintech team at Mastercard for UK and Ireland where he is responsible for the account management of fintechs and other partners.

Under PIF’s rotating model of governance, the PIF Chair and Vice Chair rotate among the association’s Board of Directors every three months with the Vice Chair moving to the Chair role on rotation. The shared leadership approach allows PIF to tap into the knowledge, experience, and expertise of the PIF Board in a way that better serves the association’s diverse and growing community. It also enables PIF to fast-track key elements of its member-driven strategic plan.

Speaking about his tenure as PIF Chair, Chris said:

‘It has been a pleasure to serve as Chair of the PIF Board. PIF provides a valuable service to its members, the wider industry and the public. I am delighted to see more new members joining and, importantly, the value of support that PIF provides being continuously enhanced. I will be very happy to continue to serve on PIF’s Board under Siobhan’s capable leadership as the incoming Chair.’

Commenting on the handover, PIF Executive Director, Diane Brocklebank said:

“Our rotating governance model ensures that we remain deeply attuned to the evolving challenges and opportunities facing our members. By drawing on the expertise of diverse leaders from across the payments ecosystem, we continue to bring fresh perspectives and informed leadership to our mission. We extend our sincerest gratitude to Chris for his invaluable contributions and steadfast leadership over the past three months, and we warmly welcome Siobhan and Jason as they take on their new roles. Their deep industry experience and commitment to our sector will be instrumental in driving PIF forward and delivering value to members.”
