The group monitors public opinion and acts quickly to prevent misleading media coverage and misinformed opinion from creating confusion or causing harm to market participants.
Our Working Groups
Our working groups are the engine of the Payments Innovation Forum. By bringing together the best specialists in each area, our working groups assess key issues, share best practice and suggest improved approaches to build, enhance and maintain market confidence. Each of our groups provide a focus on areas of critical importance to our members and have developed into an invaluable resource when considering specific challenges.
Legal & Regulatory Working Group
Led by experts in law and regulatory compliance, our Legal and Regulatory Working Group is focused on assessing the impact of regulatory change and advocating for balanced policy initiatives. Amongst its objectives is to ensure members can be clear on their obligations to consumers and industry regulators, developing guidance and helping members navigate the complexities of new rules and regulations. The group engages with and educates regulators, policy-makers and government departments, and acts swiftly to prevent legislative proposals from stifling innovation and competition in payments.
